Patricia (Pattie) Kim, PhD

Hi there, thanks for coming by and congrats on your therapy journey!

My name is Pattie (she/her/hers), and I’m a second generation Korean American, licensed psychologist in the state of Virginia (license #0810006266) and certified by PSYPACT (15788) to practice virtually in 40+ states.

I provide individual psychotherapy sessions via telehealth for adults (18 years and up) and specialize in complex trauma/c-ptsd, childhood abuse recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, multicultural concerns, anxiety, and depression. I’m passionate about working with Asian American and BIPOC clients and am dedicated to continuous learning and development to be a clinician who practices from a decolonized approach while providing neuroaffirming care.

My therapy style is warm and empathic, while I gently challenge my clients to delve deeper into their emotions, inner process(es), and childhood/family dynamics. I consider myself an integrative therapist and practice utilizing relational, interpersonal, feminist, and trauma-informed approaches. I’m also a huge curser and love humor, so please bring your authentic self in our work together!

Outside of the therapy room, I love to read, travel, and hang out with my rescue Cavapoo menace of a boy.

Please reach out with any questions or to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation!
